Presentation of the Document
This document, titled “Development of Local Enterprises within the Framework of Green Hydrogen Projects”, was prepared by the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum of Mauritania. It provides an in-depth analysis of the opportunities for local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to integrate into the emerging green hydrogen sector in Mauritania.
Building on previous studies, including the Nour project, the report identifies 17 areas across upstream and downstream activities where local companies can play a vital role. It also outlines a comprehensive support mechanism to enhance local content, including capacity building, financial support, and improved access to project tenders. The document serves as a strategic guide for stakeholders aiming to develop a robust industrial ecosystem capable of supporting green hydrogen development while maximizing local economic benefits.
